Job Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is primarily responsible for managing and following up on all HR files and documents, while providing clerical support and enhancing HR practices on the ground. The individual in this position must possess strong project management skills, demonstrate flexibility, have excellent interpersonal and computer skills, and be fully bilingual.
This position is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent (parental leave replacement).
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process: posting jobs, screening resumes, organizing interviews, etc.
- Welcome and onboard new employees and complete administrative formalities.
- Participate in payroll processing.
- Perform administrative tasks, filing, and maintaining employee records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft meeting minutes.
- Handle employee requests in the HR system.
- Compile HR reports and data.
- Assist with employee attendance and absenteeism tracking.
- Help organize company and Social Club events.
- Participate in benefits administration, including enrollment, processing requests, and employee communication.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of training programs.
- Manage occupational health and safety files.
- Oversee work uniform management.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 3 years of prior experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office); assets: ADP, Smartsheet, SharePoint.
- Knowledge of current labor laws and regulations.
- Payroll knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
